We are the Nationwide Caterers Association (NCASS). We are the membership association for independent food and drink businesses.
Here at NCASS, we know all about starting from scratch. In fact, it was our founder, Bob Fox’s mobile catering business that led to NCASS being established.
Setting up your own catering business from home, or investing in a street food set-up such as a van or pop-up stall is a fantastic way to dip your feet in the world of hospitality without the huge risks, overheads and extensive experience that a bricks and mortar premises so often requires.
Street food traders join the NCASS family for all sorts of reasons, but most commonly because they want to know there’s someone there for them when they have questions they need answers to, and guidance on anything from street trading licences to unit conversions.

Representation
NCASS is the only trade association in the mobile catering industry with a legally recognised partnership with a Government body. Our Primary Authority Partnership means that all the support, tools and materials that we provide to our members is recognised by Government departments, local authorities, environmental health officers and event organisers throughout the industry.
At NCASS, we speak to government on behalf of our members and represent the issues impacting the industry, from inspection charges and food safety regulations, to VAT thresholds and workplace health and safety stipulations.
We work with Environmental Health Officers and event organisers to help bridge the gaps within the sector and increase understanding of how we can all work positively together.
